Did you keep his wife company as well?

I own a small business. A couple got behind on their bills and owed me 600 or so (a few months behind). Cut them off and threatened legal action but never took it. Months go by and this random lady calls me telling me this horrible story about her good friends husband and two kids dying in this tragic accident. It turned out to be the same couple. I restarted her service and let it go scott free for 5-6 months bc I knew she had enough to deal with. I just figured the money she owed me was nothing compared to what she had on her plate.
I then wrote her a letter stating when I was going to start charging her again but she was free to cancel the service if she couldn't afford it, no hard feelings. She was very grateful and asked for us to continue. Unfortunately for me a few months later I had to cancel her again due to non payment.

I pay my taxes every year ... not one thank you card either.

I used to work at a restaurant and would go the long way home to give the fried food under the heat lamp left at the end of the night to this homeless guy for like two weeks. Don't consider it to be much, but it takes exactly $0 to be a good person. Give your time, not your money.

Wasn't me, but when I was a kid my old man was an OT baller. Prolly THE OT baller, unless anyone else on here ever made the Forbes 400 (not a subtle brag, cause it ain't got shite to do with me right).
Anyways, back in the early 80's every year before Christmas, he'd have gathered up names (from various local churches) of about 20 families that were seriously down on their luck. I was too young to remember the exact details, but some of the the things he did were: dump some cash at the local supermarket and set up a charge account for them, make a big deposit to the utility company to cover them for the next calender years bills, mortgages/rents covered for several months, appliances and furniture, college tuition, automobiles purchased or paid off.
Pretty cool shite, although I never got warm and tingly about it until I was much older. Would have been nice if the Feds hadn't taken every penny so I could carry on the tradition!

I courtesy flushed twice in one sitting at the DMV in Denham Springs.
Im a very benevolent person with a big heart so I'm sure there have been others I'm just not remembering, but with what was going on inside my colon that day, its definitely high up there.

My life at the moment isn't easy, but I realize that compared to a lot of folks, it's golden.
I try to make everyone I interact with feel like they're the most important person in the world. You never know what your brother or sister is going through. Give love. Daily. Whether be a hello to the stranger on the sidewalk or someone you've known for years. Be human.
These little daily acts of kindness eclipse one big deed. Your life and their life will be better for it. If you give love, you will receive it back many times over.

Bought people's groceries during the holidays, anonymously picked up people's check at restaurants, mowed neighbor's yard and planted beautiful flowers for a surprise, leave a huge basket with turkey, ham and all the fixings on a poor person's porch at Thanksgiving, help elderly people get their groceries into their car. That sort of thing.

Not the nicest thing I've done but I cleaned up a yard down the street after it had been rolled. Didn't know the people but they were obviously gone on vacation. As far as I know they never knew it was rolled.

I live near Fort Jackson, and I like to anonymously pick up restaurant tabs when I see uniformed groups out for lunch.

I bought 2 homeless dudes a loaf of bread and some ham. They asked for beer instead. We all shared a laugh and then a 6 pack.

I try to help people with questions about God, or try to lead a person to God. I try to help the homeless, or visit sick people at times. I could do a lot more tho. We all could.
