In all seriousness the only jewelry I've ever bought for my GF or mom has been from Lee Michaels or Anton's I don't know if you have either near you

Depends on how big of a diamond your talking about. If it's just small studs go Zales, Kay, the chain stores. If you're going like 1/2 and up I'd go local for sure

Mike Perkins

He owns Causeway Coins in Metairie.

They have jewelry and watches.

Fair prices, honest merchandise.

If you need estate valuations for coins, silver, jewelry, etc, he's a straight-up guy in an industry with some bad players in it. I've known him for decades.

I was told to reference pricing online at blue Nile and then talk to a diamond dealer/custom jeweler.

I agree that for something small just go to Zales or something similar.

Does that guy sell to jewlers from Nola to Laffy?

I got my wifes ring from a guy 7 years ago from a dot not feather Indian, that is a wholesaler. Hard to pronounce his name so he said call him Mike.

Ring appraised for double what I paid for it.
