Anyone with gortex that isn’t water tight go listen to speckled truth podcast with Curtis Graves from Grundens and he explains how to properly care and wash gortex. Pretty interesting and helpful....

Guide showed me the lefty kreh knot. It’s simple and easy. Just wet the lines before cinching and pull slow. Look it up...
I’ve go no experience with this yet, but I’m curious on this idea too. I know some new work trailers have them for led lights and trickle charges for batteries that start pumps, compressors, etc. Seems a perfect fit on the top of a T-top. Also curious how it would hold up in the salty conditions....
Check out a Hewes red fisher 18 or a 16 if that’s more in your budget. https://www.boattrader.com/boat/2004-hewes-redfisher-18-8769701/ I’ve never owned one but I had a close family member with a boat from one of the sister companies. Hewes, Maverick and Cobia are all made by the same compan...

You could rent a drain auger for 4 hrs and do it your self for $75-100 or pay a plumber $300-400. Just make sure you know the length of pipe and you get the correct length auger. Longer augers are bigger and harder to manipulate so just get what you need. If it’s pvc pipe it should be safe bu...

I have a Ouachita and Arapaho that are in their 2nd year as well. My berries are not large either but I didn’t prune mine because I thought they were too small to prune. My Ouchita has mores canes but they have roughly equal berries. I know proper pruning can increase yield but not sure about siz...

Nitrogen side dress question. I sent my soils to LSU for testing. If I’m interpreting it correctly I need to side dress with nitrogen. For tomatoes specifically it says 3.84lbs/100 ft row of ammonium sulfate. My rows are only 25 ft so I will do 1/4 of that which is .96 lbs for 25 ft. Is ...
Trolling motor and fishing pole when the wires caught the pole and pulled it overboard. I thought I was sly having a bracket on the front on my flat boat to put a transom mounted trolling motor at the bow. The hand tightened screws just rattled loose and down she went at like 15 or 20 mph. ...
I pull a 23 ft boat with a 2012 GX. Boat, fuel, motor and trailer weigh a bit under 5000 lbs. No problems getting it in or out of the water at the launch. I don’t make long hauls with the boat so can’t help there but I would do it with mine if I needed to. It’s been a very reliable car for us. ...
Ours were mosquito central for us. I don’t know if it was from the plants or the plants blocking the wind. It took chains and 4x4 suv to pull those damn root balls out. A Polaris side by side couldn’t do it. ...

re: Leaning fence post repair foam

Just an FYI update. Upon further review the post was beyond saving so I just dug a hole and placed another post close by. Used the expanding foam and not cement. It’s quick, lite and easy to use. I don’t think I would use it for multiple posts on a 6 ft or taller wooden fence. I’m skeptical on ...

Leaning fence post repair foam

Posted by Milescb28 on 1/9/23 at 8:34 am
I know they have the mix in bag foam fence post stabilizer but has anyone ever come across a foam spray can for fence post stabilization. I’m repairing a leaning fence post and I think the bag is just too much material and I will be cleaning up a bunch of foam. ...

I got jalapeno plants, tomatoes plants, bean seeds, and okra seeds in the ground. Definitely forgot to save space for my bell pepper plants which are a bit behind this year. I think I will have to sacrifice my okra space because those are my least favorite to eat. I got a little too excited to pla...

re: Yard Drainage Question

Posted by Milescb28 on 2/19/22 at 2:15 pm
Yeah I used a tight string, string level and tape measure to make sure I had enough fall from the bottom of my catch drain to my ditch before I started digging for the corregated pipe otherwise I was looking at a sump pump and more $$$ and work....

re: Yard Drainage Question

Posted by Milescb28 on 2/19/22 at 11:18 am
So I've been SLOWLY working on my yard drainage and fencing over the last year. My house is the same shape. I connected nonperforated french drains directly to my gutters which then run 10 or 15 feet and connect to perforated french drains that run down the sides of my yard into my ditch. In the b...
