Jesus. I get it. Y'all hate Baton Rouge. I never said it was paradise, and, for the record, I don't think I'd ever move back unless one of my parents had health problems.

I just don't see the need to hijack every thread about Baton Rouge and turn it into "Baton Rouge sucks." The city has potential, but due largely to poor leadership and in fighting among the population, it will likely never amount to more than it is.

Yeah - if the test is " would you recommend to your children to stay here or go elsewhere "- I think that's simple. I've advised all my kids to move away after college, we have ties to Texas and Colorado ( and other places we have lived and have family) and elsewhere and I'll probably follow them when the time comes. That said, I prefer the people of Baton Rouge to anywhere I have ever lived and it is not close. There are AMAZING people here. But the social pathology and dysfunction is wearing me out.

I get half baked Za from there to bring back to Nashville and finish baking at my house.

You might not like it, but thousands of people think it's incredible.

Nostalgia. That's the only thing keeping the place open.

The pizza is not incredible and not even in the ballpark to be called that.

It's been at least 10 years, but I remember the pizza to "acceptable for the price", but we would go for the atmosphere. Lot of energy, hole in wall feel, quick service, cheap beer. Glad they are still chugging along... no idea why someone would want a place like that to close.

Cash only is hilarious if they are still getting away with that.

I've brought all my friends from out of town there and they always bring up how good it was.

The fact that place thrives and doesn't take credit cards...and does as much take out business as dine in...shows you are in the minority regarding their pizza.

Regardless, thinking it would be a good thing for it to close is fricking asinine. A locally owned, thriving business that a majority of people consider a favorable part of Baton Rouge? Yeah lets close it.

Fixed typos, on phone.

Just because you and your friends like shitty pizza doesn't make the pizza any less shittier.

They probably curse you under their breath though when you bring them there

I don't think it's the greatest city in the world, the rest of the state just makes it look really good.

You honestly don't think Lafayette does not have better food than fricking Baton Rouge. Are you really trying to say it is old , dirty and dilapidated in comparison with Baton Rouge?

There is zero in Lafayette that makes me think "Man I would prefer living there".
