Forcing trans or non-binary students to use a traditionally gendered restroom "repeatedly 'outs' them to other students or employees and stigmatizes them daily by singling them out and prevents them from having critical peer experiences," Sasha Buchert, staff attorney for the Transgender Law Center, told HuffPost via email. "Trans and gender nonconforming students should be focusing on their education or getting their job done well, and not about which bathroom they can use."

It's not about what "Gender you think you are" it's about what sexual organ you are born with. Do you have a penis? Use the facilities for fellow penis havers. Do you have a vagina? Use the facilities for fellow vagina havers. It's not that fricking hard.

eta: non-binary is someone who doesn't fit in either binary gender of male or female. So I'm guessing an alien without sexual organs

I'm going to have to disagree with this one. I think females are 0 and males are 1.

It's a person without any IT skills.

Does that have anything to do with anything?

Let's say you are biologically a man but you actually live your life as a trans female. When you go into a public restroom you go to a female restroom, enter a stall, sit down and do your business. Unless someone looks into your stall, you have privacy.

If it's the opposite, biologically female but live your life as a male, you use the mens bathroom and you'd go in a stall and do your business.

Either way you have your privacy and schools and other public buildings don't have to create new restrooms.

You could also make stalls in bathrooms have walls that are floor to ceiling with locking doors. More privacy, everyone happy, right?

Ta-da!

Listening to the discussion on transgender issues yesterday on NPR was exhausting. There's no end to the number of things they want/need to feel equal. This is just a minor one.

I still don't see what that has to do with whites/colored people.
