This is my 'sports' watch. The only G-Shock you should ever own. Especially if you're a Saints fan.

And the large majority are not beaters/highly active watches.

Size 30 bro. And the one picture that you posted on this site was not very impressive for as much as you talk about how heavy you lift. Bro.

or is there a better watch in the same style?

Suunto Core, Suunto X-Lander or Suunto Vector. The Vector is most like a G Shock and one of my favorite watches I own.

I like luminox watches and most are pretty durable/waterproof. I don't own one though because they are too expensive to me for a sporty beater watch. For that reason G Shock is fine by me and I own the first one posted by pintail.

I love that there are like 500 different models to choose from and they are all relatively inexpensive.

I have a Suunto Core, which is more advanced than most G-shocks but just as dorky looking. It's a tool for me when camping/hiking/fishing, love it.

What all does this watch do that a normal watch does not do?? I am really curious. Like I said earlier I would find a stopwatch useful but I honestly don't know what other features these types of watches offer.

It has a countdown timer, multiple timezones, a stopwatch, tide features (on some), altimiter. You want me to keep going?

Also, many of them water resistant so can wear doing watersports.
