Whatever it is, it's never enough.

You need money for smart phones for everyone in the house over age 8.
Need money to eat out at least 5 times a week for lunch or dinner. Don't forget all of the fast food meals.
Full cable tv or similar package.
New cars
One bedroom for each kid in the family.
Two vacations a year.
Hair and nails twice a month.
Drinks, smokes, and whatever else to make one pretend to be happy.

I would guess it is enough to live in the city where you work without going on government assistance.

A loaf of bread would cost $50, a gallon of milk would cost $80, and a gallon of gas would be $60.
People would be screaming for a mil per year.

When your self-control is greater than your income.

I don't think these people realize that if they start making more money, they start getting less from the government.
They would just show up to work once a week instead of 3 times a week.

spend less than you make

A living wage, is that amount of money, that if given to all the low-life motherfrickers asking for it, would decrease the value of the dollar by about 60% or more, would temporarily make other people doing OK poor, then once the economy adjusted, those people would be back in the same situation they were in before, and again protesting/begging/etc for the "right" to a living wage.
These fricking idiots don't understand that money isn't just arbitrarily distributed and that in order to make more, you need to do/be more.

Much like "fair", "social justice", "forward" or "hope", it's just another amoeba like term meant to get useful idiots' panties in a wad.
Votes are the only real goal of the idiotic term.

$30,000 per adult per year?

Basically it's "I want a raise with minimal skill and minimal effort".

Isn't this a good reason to support wage increase?

As a single guy I calculated a $50,000 salary would be more than enough to live comfortably in the South with a nice apartment, new car, ect. But hopefully with my degree I'll make 2-3 times that lol

Yes 50k is "comfortable" for most people who have to only take care of themselves, we are talking about "living" so I say 30k. I am sure they probably can live off of less because at that level you don't have to pay taxes and probably can get benefits though.
