After seeing these Katrina threads, I just had to ask if anyone knows who Lootie really is and whatever happened to him? Someone must have caught up with him at some point and know his identity.

If he's still alive, probably wondering how in the hell he was never able to parlay any of this into at least a season of some reality show on one of the 5,000 channels out there.

I know he's just some random dude w/ a tub full of stolen beer, but that image is what a lot people think New Orleans is. It's not funny, it's not "surviving", it's just pathetic theft.

I know you are joking, but the fact that my comment got 4 down votes fits perfect.
"Heck, that's funny, just a fella making it through tough times, etc."
I'm a guy in pretty good humor most of the time IRL, but man, I don't find anything humorous in that pic. I was on some other forums that weren't nearly as localized as this one. The comments about Louisiana and the people of this state were overwhelmingly negative. That picture of that numbnuts fit their perception perfectly.
