I graduated chs and it was lame

How is CHS lame? you have mixers with st joe hoes. To the OP, private school is better then brmhs in the girls category. I was at exerfit today for an interview, and so many hot girls were from Parkview or st joes! if you look on facebook, people in private school have exciting social lives. in brmhs, you have losers who hang out in the basement. I regret going to BRMHS

Runnels is alright and not crazy expensive compared to others, but I think you can get better education elsewhere.

I would say you get as well-rounded an education at Runnels as anywhere in the city. Our family is very pleased with the education out children are getting there, and as noted, it is not quite as pricey in terms of tuition.

Being an Episcopal graduate, I would never send my kid or recommend someone sending their kids to that school, ever. There was a horrible drug problem while I was there. There are a lot rich kids there that have there parents money and blow it on drugs. Not saying I am an angel. Just looking back it was not good

Ascension Christian high school. Isn't in BR but In Gonzales right outside of BR.

There definitely wasn't a large problem when I went there. Don't think anyone was doing hard stuff at all, although I was surprised at how young some people started drinking (late middle school).

Friend of mine graduated EHS in mid-80's and drugs were a problem back then, as well as kids feeling entitled and untouchable. Have no idea how things have changed on the past almost 30 years. Man, I'm getting old...

Don't know what year you were there. Kay Betts era? But I know there was a problem.

Only BR schools I'd consider, period, are EHS and Catholic.

Why? What do you base this on? Do you have kids and have had to go through the process of investigating schools? I as because your statement seems fairly capricious and I can't figure out what criteria you might have used to arrive at it.

No basis, just my experience knowing kids from the various schools. I don't pretend to have undertaken any "investigation."

Good kids with good parents will do fine, no matter where they're in school, imo.

Episcopal and Catholic are 1a and 1b

Dunham is just a really expensive Parkview, which is bad

Then U-high is impossible to get into and is trying to become John Curtis of BR.
