Some of my Jazz Fest posters.

My house in Dallas is already worth 25% more than I paid for it a few years ago (thanks Dallas booming real estate market).

My house in New Orleans maybe. Market is hot now in Nola, but I'm not sure it'll be able to sustain that. Don't think I'll lose money on it though.

Certain original artworks I own probably shutoff I don't buy art as an investment. I just buy what I like.

Only the ones that exist in small quantities, like those that had a production run of a couple hundred units. Maybe some that were part of original production and then "retired" (that was part of the company's business model to artificially control supply and give the illusion of value). You can find lists online of the most valuable ones. But "value" is obviously dependent on finding the right buyer, and the only buyers would be people who just like beanie babies, have money, and want a complete collection. And that's why most beanie babies are worthless -- the only people willing to pay high prices for rare ones are the people who likely own the rest already.

You forgot to ask the most important thing.....our home address.

Just kidding. Just a few things.

1. The 1890s Master Clock from the old Western Union in Spartanburg, SC. Made by the Self Winding Clock Co. They closed the office in the early 70s and my took the clock when he and two other employees were clearing the office.

2. Two Ni'ihau shell leis. The current generation is the last of a dying breed of craftspeople who collect the rare shells and make leis. The process is long and labor intensive. Most young native Ni'ihau people no longer stay on the island and instead bounce over to Kauai, Oahu or Maui for opportunity.

3. Tony Gwynn game used helmet. He wore it in a game against the Astros in 99 and collected hit #2966 while going 1 for 3 in that game. The brim has his signature and the inside has the date and hit number.

4. Ten acres in Park Co. Colorado. Within an hour of Breckenridge. I think it will be very valuable in 20+ years.

You already sold your house a year after you bought it? Why?
