Money and work. She had a lot of the former and no need for the latter. I have little of the former and a lot of the latter.

Lying, backstabbing. Those are two things I will not deal with. It is very childish and disrespectful.

5 tickets somebody incurred while driving a rental car in my name in another country. Tickets came to my house and person responsible won't admit guilt or try to resolve issue.

This was soon after I graduated high school. A friend of mine liked this girl I was good friends with. While I was friends with this guy, he kind of sucked, but this was a bitch move by me.

One night he had come over and we were in my room. The girl had called me while he was there and right after she called he told me he was leaving. Dude couldn't have played it any better, but as he was leaving he asked me if I wanted him to turn of the light and I said yes. I was looking the other way playing attention to the conversation I was having with the girl. He opened the door then closed it like he left, but he really kneeled down on side of this table I had by the door.

Me and this girl talked for over an hour.. Maybe 1.5 hrs+, that's what was impressive about this. In the middle of the conversation she was like "so what's the deal with ______________? He asked me on a date a few days ago and I told him it was a bad time. He asked for a rain check and I told him sure". I went on saying "____________ is alright, but he is the type of dude who thinks he is a lot cooler than he is. He doesn't know it, but he always says and does corny shite and everyone kind of laughs at him behind his back, but he lies a lot about hooking up with different girls, blah blah blah blah so he kind of brings it upon himself".

There was more to the conversation than that, but after that we started talking about some personal shite, things that you don't just tell everyone. She was telling me things, I told her certain things.. From the things I was saying, it wasn't hard to figure out what she was telling me. Anyway, as soon as we finished talking & hung up the phone, that motherfricker turns on the light... It was like. All of a sudden the light comes on, I turn and see him there and he says "well I guess I know what you really think of me and frick you. I heard it all" then walked out.

That ended that friendship.

I haven't talked to many of my friends in college or high school in several years. But trying to now.

I just wasn't sure how to tell them about some of my difficulties I had after coming home from Afghanistan and then transitioning to a civilian.

Realizing you're in a relationship with a girl who idolizes her dad so much that she can't appreciate the man she's with? Or so I've read...

Not having kids. One of my good friends from just outside of HS thought it was horrific that I wasn't in a rush to have kids or that we didn't have kids at the same time so that our friendship would be one long arse play date. She didn't know how to still have adult outings independent of her kids.

That's an incredibly shitty mindset to have. Honestly I don't think almost anyone should have a kid before 28.

A friend's new wife disinvited us from the wedding and told him he was done with us. Haven't talked to him since. Been a decade now.

My (ex) best friend developed a pill addiction

tried and tried and tried to get him help, but could never get through to him.. it's been over a year and a half since I cut him off but to this day, I still think about him all the time. Call me what you want, he was my best friend for my whole life

When a friend tells you his wife is fricking a Mexican, asks for advice, and he does not divorce her trashy arse afterwards, consider that friendship over.

any particular reason?

I think new gf/wife has to be the leading cause of male friendships ending.

We tried to think of a reason, but none of us could. Chalked it up to her being really crazy.
