It's a one way rivarly. LSU fans care more about UL than NOLA people about BRLA
ETA: Hence why it is the perfect example for the OP. The two cities have zero in common, but both sides seem to have to remind you why they hate the other city so much. Makes no damn sense to me

Every time I mention a random city in Texas to someone from Nola I always get the "no culcha" response. Never got that, I guess a lot of it comes from their insecurity due to Houston or Dallas' economic superiority.

Might have missed this scrolling through, but if you are from Savannah or Charleston, then you know. Charleston is considered our "sister city" and has a good 100 years on us. Its probably an assine rivalry because the cities are similar to some extent but not really. Both have their qualities - Savannah does have less Yankees/non-natives though (for now).
