In Houston, it seems Star Pizza is the bomb. But I just don't see it.

Not crazy about Star Pizza.

Lupe Tortilla is a pretty good Houston original. The majority of the menu is just average... the fajitas are really, really good.

Papa Bros Steakhouse. Horrible experience when I was there while in Dallas.

Well, you proved what I already thought. Moron.

only recently expanded outward?

Like 777 mentioned, WAB has has stores outside of TX for a while. They've been along the gulf coast and FL panhandle at least since the early 90s that I can remember. Whats your timeline definition of "recently"?

At any rate, I just find it stupid to brag about a company, a fast food joint at that, to shine a light on the state you live in. I haven't heard those in CO going crazy boasting about Quiznos or Californians stroking it to the success of In-and-Out. I guess that just says more about Texans than anything. smh.

Fast food.

Buccee's: I will fight you if you try to peddle that crap to me again. I see Buccee's stuff everywhere. Some of my coworkers speak of it as if it were some extravagant honeymoon destination. I went there once. Everything was extremely overpriced and the place was entirely to crowded. It's just a gas station. I'll likely never return. Overrated.

It's Texas-based. I don't see how that's hard to comprehend. Obviously you didn't realize that.

I drive past about 5-10 Buc-ee's a month all over the state.

Gas prices are low. Numerous nice clean crappers, huge selection of drinks and some tasty but overpriced breakfast tacos.

I don't buy shirts love it, but I like to patronize it when I can love it.

HEB, Whataburgur, and Freebird's are some legit things to be proud of.

No, thats the funny part, I did.

Keep waving that WAB flag, slick. You're making all of TX proud.

*Maybe in your championing of the fast food mecca, you should put Chedders aside and see if Paige would like to join you over A1 thick and hearty burgers and rings. Just a suggestion to shake things up.

What's wrong with liking all of those mentioned? Shiner is good too. I don't know any Texans that act like they are better because of these things. But for the most part, those things are better than their competition.
