If you have insurance that covers any part of IVF consider yourself really lucky. Seems like most insurance companies want no part in covering IVF.
However, they do have companies that provide special loans with supposed low interest rates for couples wanting to do IVF. (Average cost PER cycle is around 15k....if you want to do genetic prescreening of embryos to check for stuff like Down's, etc....that adds another 5k per cycle). And....those costs usually have to be paid upfront before they start treatment.
And I think there are programs that couples can apply for financial grants/loans for adoption.
Just really sucks that so many people struggle with fertility (more than you think, and many not necessarily because of age).....and then you see some of the trashiest people having kid after kid after kid and taking all the handouts they can get because of it.

That's so expensive for something that has like a 60% success rate.

Very expensive to try to adopt and the mother can back out at any moment. Adoption agencies can deny you for an older kid as well. You do not get your money back. My friend lost $50k on a USA adoption before she adopted overseas.

I can see why many go the international route for adoption. Less red tape and usually the baby/child is a true orphan so there isn't much risk of any bio family protesting the adoption.

When our twins were in the NICU, a woman that did fertility treatments had quads. Good luck. Thought I'd mention that.
We went back for a "reunion" and she looked like she aged at least 20 years.

Good luck. My little girl turns one on Wednesday and we had to go through several months of fertility treatments. It's a miserable time but the reward is so worth it.

Good luck. Father of triplet girls here. Had to give the wife fertility injections (insert dirty joke here). Forget the name of the medicine we used though.
In all from first early loss pregnancy it took us about 2.5 years after that with several miscarriages to have the pregnancy stick. A very emotionally draining process. Best wishes.

My wife and I are going through this. She just did her second round of IVF about two weeks ago. It's $15K only for the first time because of the egg retrieval, but it's around $3K-$5K for successive rounds as long as you still have good eggs and don't have to do another retrieval. After several failed IUI's, miscarriages, and one failed IVF, we were elated that this second IVF has worked so far, still a long way to go. They put in two on the second IVF, so we now have a pretty high chance of twins

Good luck I wish you all the best and say prayers for all gals struggling with fertility problems. I did it for many years and finally ended with one child ! He's the best so it's all worth it. When teasing him sometimes we tell him he was expensive to make lol
