You are wrong regarding N95s.

What kind of people do you hang out with where y’all are spitting in each other’s face all the time?

I can honestly say I’ve never had a stranger spit on me. So... what good does your mask do in a situation that has NEVER happened to me?

No one has ever had an expelled piece of spit, food, anything while talking to you, never coughed or sneezed by you, in your entire life? Holy shite that's amazing. You must be the first.

I'd love to peruse some links where you've picked up some of this ridiculousness from.

Use the internet bro. You have the same ability that I do. I research for me. You research for you. I spent about a month sending links to people and you know what the result was? People would take another study out of context (like masks in a hospital setting studies) and apply them in the community and argue it with me. Sending links of studies is pointless. Most people don't understand how to read them anyway and apply them incorrectly.

They work for about 5 Minutes. Once moisture collects on the mask from exhaling, they are virtually useless and ineffective.

The researchers' findings suggest that asymptomatic coronavirus patients "don't look any different from the symptomatic population" in terms of the viral load they carry, Marta Gaglia, a virologist at Tufts University who was not involved in the study, said. As a result, "[t]here's no actual reason to believe a priori that they would transmit [the virus] any differently," Gaglia explained.

From something published August 10th. I'm guessing this isn't gonna help his case.

Only an n99 works on viruses dude. The n95s have some minor impact in a hospital but that's due to the entire ppe protocol, scrubbing in and scrubbing out, shoe guards, gloves, and surgical gowns. Masks alone or in a community setting don't work. Read the studies.

Wearing just a mask is like putting one ingredient in a cake recipe and expecting to eat cake. You folks are hilariously stupid.

I have read them.

I can already tell that you're one of those people who thinks that only a mask that filters down to the exact size of the virus will work. Which tells me all I need to know about your ability to grasp the realities of this situation.

Just a quick question for you...a simple yes/no will suffice.

If you had to go into a pediatric oncology wing at a hospital for work, or to visit a relative who had a childhood cancer and a suppressed immune system, would you refuse to wear a mask there as well? (simple yes/no answer please)

And if the answer is no, would you come here and post about it looking for e-high fives?

It is about balls and common sense. I live in Louisiana and rarely wear a mask. I go to Wal-Mart, Walgreens, CVS, Rouses, Starbucks, and numerous restaurants and never wear one. Rarely does anyone say anything either. Only 4 times in the last 3 Months has anyone at any business asked me to put one on.
