you sound like the type who can't comprehend why scientists often use fruit flies in their studies.

So all this global warming stuff is going to happen no matter what we do?

It's interesting to consider panspermia and the origins of life on earth

Which sounds really dirty tbh

We need to land something on Mars that is capable of digging a deep hole. We'll be astonished at what we find. Remember that years ago the climate on Mars was similar to earths, and assuming we don't destroy ourselves through nukes or climate change, will probably be what the earth looks like billions of years from now (I read somewhere that the planet is already past its prime for life sustaining features).

And you are insane. Any proof of this? We have a pretty good idea of what happened to Mars: the planet died, it's magentosphere instantly crumbled, and then the abundance of radiation scorched the surface. Why the planet died we don't know, but humanity certainly doesn't have the power to accomplish this from what we know of physics. If this planet can survive the impact of a planetary body the size of Mars, you really think pumping gas in the air and throwing plastic in the ocean is going to do that? We may be fricked, but the Earth will be fine in the long run.

It guarantees the survival of the species if something bad happens to our planet, not to mention the thousands of other things NASA has helped create that you are piously and blissfully ignorant of. I can't think of a poster here who prides themselves on being ignorant and actually believes that increasing our knowledge base is a bad thing.

I see you guys aren't familiar with Heather's work.

And Beejon believes in dark spirits and doesn't believe in evolution.

Oh my God. You are quite possibly the dimmest bulb on a website littered with night lights.

I'll give Heather this, she at least puts some thought into things. They are stupid and naive thoughts, but thoughts nonetheless. Beejon on the other hand thinks we should be ashamed for being curious and thinking in general. If he ran the world, we'd be back to the Dark Ages overnight and proceed to burning the different and mentally ill at the stake.
