This isn't the first video we've seen of a firearm attached to a consumer-grade drone, but it is the most convincing. The 14-second clip, uploaded to YouTube last Friday, claims to show a "homemade multirotor with a semiautomatic handgun mounted on it." The drone fires four times, with the recoil from each shot pushing it backwards in the air.

Scary...

Soooo, the most easily defeated shooter in the history of guns?

This is dumb and meant to scare the ignorant masses.

See this is basically what I was saying when I made the comment about wondering how long it would take for someone to modify a drone to use weapons.

Basically a person could fly one towards a group of people from a pretty significant distance away depending on quality of the drone and begin dropping the steel rain on them

The second amendment clearly allows for a citizen to possess armed drones.

Guns don't kill people, drones kill people.

what makes the drone "Illegal"?

Because it's hand built? Or that it now has a gun on it?

Hobbyists have been flying remote control planes and helicopters for decades. We have been taking videos and pictures from them for decades as well. The ability to arm them has always been there.

FAA rules per drone regulator....thats a real title??

quote:

We currently have rules in the books that deal with releasing anything from an aircraft, period," said FAA drone regulator Jim Williams back in 2013. "Those rules are in place, and that would prohibit weapons from being installed on a civil aircraft."
