Bell and Ross makes a real good looking heritage line.

This one's about $3500

For a cheaper option look around Laco's site (this link is a random Quartz watch, but you can use it to navigate to their different lines).
Laco

That looks like a $150 watch. Why would anybody buy that?

Cheap shite. Chinese movements.

Bell&Ross are nice. What's your price range?

Sinn makes many antique looking watches.

That looks like a $3500 watch to me. They make more traditional, less gauge style as well.

Also why get antique "looking"?

Many watch forums will have actual vintage watches. Rolex and Omega have been popular for many years. Rolex service is pricey. I dont know about omega service fee.

I know you know. But for others, that was heavy sarcasm. Hell I hadn't even heard of one brand.

Look at Sinn and Stowa in that price range. Stowa makes a ton of different styles. They won't have the super trick domed crystal, but they have some shape to them.

Look into Rolex and omega vintage watches.

Some will be outrageous like a "red submariner" but some will be affordable. Especially some some Rolex Datejust and Celini. Got to factor in $500-750 in your budget though if it needs to be sent off. If you send it off. Many people will work on older Rolexes.

Omega has many nice older offerings.

Watchbuys/Sinn site. And others that look up your alley

You're slipping in your Stowa love. That may be 15-17 posts.

Gaston, you can check my link too. There are several brands in there that I've never heard of. Sinn in the OP price range has a few but not many. One that seems to be perfect. The other brands I know nothing about.

May YOU need to drop $2,000 too and just didn't know it yet?

Your suggestion for a $1500, new, watch is an old Rolex.

He initially said vintage looking. There are some old Rolexes I've seen floating out there that fit the bill. I'm not talking vintage Subs, but maybe a Datejust or a Celini. I'm talking older though. From the 1960's. Service fees with Rolex may put it out of reach, but I would look into other places to service. Any reputable watch place could service an older Rolex. Especially second hand.

Omega may be a better option. If he DID say new? Well never mind.

Or maybe I can muddy the water for him.
