Or was Six Flags more fun? Just curious having watched a documentary about the park and its current state.

It was in New Orleans East. It was nice for about three days.

Six flags added a modern rollercoaster that was awesome. I think it was called “The Joker”. Other than that I don’t remember many differences.

I bet it was. The heat was the worst thing about SF over Texas.

Six Flags seemed to have more rollercoasters from what I remember.

Documentary about it was pretty interesting. If not for Katrina, it could still be in business with smart business moves. That area would look much different.

If you like scary rides, Jazzland.

If you like safe rides, 6 flags.

I was in middle school in its heyday. I always had a good time there. I loved the wooden coaster.

Jazzland sucked. It had run of the mill cookie cutter rides / coasters that you'd find at a place like blue bayou. Only thing decent was the wooden coaster.

Was crazy to learn the first year, JL had something like 1.2M visitors but the next, 600K.

They rebranded one of the coasters along those lines and added a Batman ride that was pretty good.

I remember Jazzland having some sort of bungee jumping setup that looked pretty unsafe.

The first six months or so it was legit, from what I remember.

I grew up in Lafayette and we went once and had a bad experience. After that, we just kept going to Astroworld as it was only 2 hours further, safer, was in Houston, and had better rides plus a waterpark.
