Was Christopher Hitchens Most Enlightened Thinker of Our Time?

It was almost as if he operated on another level amongst the masses with very few (Dawkins, Hawking) remotely close. The guy belonged to another class with Socrates and Plato. I was just reviewing his work and it's astounding.

on some things, yes. his political views are a little ehhh
one of my favorite writers, though. he had an eloquence and beauty to his writing that I haven't seen matched. he sounded extremely intelligent without being gratuitously verbose. even if you disagreed with him, you appreciated his argumentation
