Marines.

Any other Marines on here that spent time at Camp Lejeune and was effected or possible effected by the contaminated drinking water?
I was notified by letter a long time ago about the situation but didn't think about it till now. I was just diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (blood plasma cancer that effects the bones) and Kidney cancer. I'm in the process of trying to find out if my condition could have been caused by the water and just letting others know about the situation. Many Marines and their families have been effected.
Time line is from the late 40's till 1998, so just wanted to pass that info and if any out there that has more info please share.

A couple of my fraternity brothers were Navy Corpsmen attached to a Marine Reserve Unit out of the BR area. They sat in Kuwait for ages after the ground "war" - all 100 hours of it - was over.

P.S Michael Hayes & Aikman? If that's the two.....they were with my platoon(heavy machine guns). We've kept up over the years...two great guys.

I thought it only went to the 80s. I was there in the late 90s. Luckily nothing has shown up in me.
