I didn't know the exact law, but I was pretty sure the right to refuse service thing is bs.
I was always under the impression that a private business could refuse for refusals sake, without having to give a reason.

outside of letting the dog sit with them.
Right, which is not allowed for anyone else. That would be different treatment. The guy in the story is going to sue because he wasn't afforded the special treatment. That would be a demand.
I'm not against it, just clarifying that treating disabled people differently is required and demanded by those with disabilities and people who lobby for them.

Within the last couple of months, there was a news report about a teenage girl around Houma with some form of severe diabetes. She had to be hooked up to some kind of moniter each night, because there was a risk of her blood chemistry getting screwed up. So no teen slumber parties for her...
They solicited donations, got her a blood sugar sniffing dog and - VOILA! - she can now safely sleep anywhere. But I don't think she she needs to bring the dog into Applebee's. It's easier to haul around a glucometer, than a Labrabor Retriever.

Wait you're telling me if I own a business, and someone I don't like tries to walk in I can't tell them to leave? Not based on race, creed or anything other than I know them and think they're an a-hole? I can't refuse them service because they're a prick?
