We are watching a video and can see the taser hitting the ground. You can't assume that the officer knew the suspect didn't have control of the taser at the point where the shots where fired. The taser is on the ground BEHIND him.
If all I can see are leads from the taser and they look to be attached to me... and the guy who had the taser is running but I know he has the potential to use it for another 30 feet or so... I'm shooting him.

IF he had shot the cop with the taser and was still on top of the cop and/or fighting with the cop at the time of the shooting, I'd be ok with the cop killing him
but when the guy supposedly drops the taser and starts to run away, you don't fricking unload on him

Taser or not, and justified or not, there is no way this cop walks after the uproar over Mike Brown and little Trayvon.

He tases the cop and he has an easy opportunity to retrieve the cop's firearm.
That whole taser is non-lethal argument is out the window here.

You can't assume that the officer knew the suspect didn't have control of the taser at the point where the shots where fired.

Explain to me anyone, anyone out there, why in the holy of all holy hells, would the police dept let their officer burn and get destroyed without mentioning the fact he was shot by a fricking taser. This is ludicrous to me that some people want to hold on this glimmer of hope
