LINK

The lawsuits, permits inspections, etc. are going to be flying against this company when its all said and done. Certainly seems like there is a racial tint to the properties that are in good condition versus the ones that aren't in good condition. I'm surprised the TV stations don't do more of this type of investigative reporting because this is a great series they have uncovered. It will certainly help prevent other deaths.

Wait, you're telling me that the more expensive properties arr better kept and have more amenities than low-low-rent shitholes???

This is an outrage and flies in the face of all reason!!

Look at the racial make-up of the tenants who live in the sub-standardized apartment complexes like Copper Ridge, D'iberville, Siegen Oaks, Magnolia Trace, etc. versus the Woodcrest, Camden Lake, Mallard Crossing properties which are more affluent and Caucasian.

Huh?

Who is getting sued, the realtor or the news station?

Low rent properties have always had minimal maintenance. I don't think there is a racial tint to the story, it is simple economics.

Low rent = Low maintenance.

And?

Tell me the difference in rent...do you think that just maybe the tenants could have some responsibility for the condition of their apartments/neighborhood?

Latter & Blum Property Management

Do you all not know how this shite works???

L&B is the property manager...More than likely not the owner..

So what you are saying is that just because the properties are low income and majority African American the property management firm doesn't have to worry about ensuring those properties are up to code. I don't think ensuring that basic electrical and safety codes are met actually constitutes an "amenity".

Tell that parents of the young child who was electrocuted to death that she died because they didn't pay for the "amenity". This is a racial story plain and simple.

Unless they aren't renting the high end places to minorities who can afford them I dont see the issue.
