Looking at purchasing one. Anyone have one? If so pros and cons?

We had one. Third row is a little tighter than expected. Good for little Kids

I think Gaston does. He'll chime in pretty soon.

Wife drives one. Tank, good ride, plenty of space. I'm a fan.

Great while under warranty. Try taking it to an indie shop for repairs, and watch them recoil in abject horror.

Have a 2018. We love it. Third row is tight but my brother in law can squeeze into it and he is 6’3
We just leased a new XC60 as a second car and it doesn’t come close to the XC90.

Wife drove one and loved it but repairs and maintenance are very expensive.

wife has a 19. She loves it. I have no complaints. took it on a long road trip and the damn thing just about drives itself. ownership is a little expensive for maintenance. I lease one for her as she typically likes and upgrade every three or four years anyway. that covers all the maintenance.

In what way?

Just purchased the 2020 T6 Momentum 2 weeks ago. I've taken it on 2 fairly long road trips (300+ miles) and enjoyed every second in it. The pilot assist and adaptive cruise control are nice features for highway driving. As mentioned, the third row is a little tight but no kids in the Freamon household yet so no issues with that.

Love my 18, best car I've ever owned & safest car on the road.

We have a ‘13 XC90, 133k miles. Intend to stretch to 200k. It’s a Tank. Runs great. 3D row seats are big enough. Will buy another one when the time comes.
Notably, Volvo has a real sweet deal where they fly you to Sweden, pay for airfare, one night lodging and give you a tour of the factory. Volvo Overseas Delivery . You take receipt of your new car and are offered up to two weeks of insurance and the opportunity to ship it from any Euro dealer back to destination of your choosing at no cost. A great way to parlay new car purchase with a trip to drive said new car all over Europe. I believe they even accommodate trade-in at a stateside local dealer.

Sound a like fun. Go drive the PENIS 287 from GT. Then ship from scotland

Volvos are probably the most underrated cars on the road today, I've had both an XC90 and an S60R and absolutely loved both. For me at least, maintenance wasn't noticeably higher than any other new vehicle I'd owned.
As far as build quality and drive go, my Volvos have been the best cars I've ever owned; especially the S60R. I'm actually in the market for another S60 at the moment, just looking for the right buy.

I’ve driven a couple of the new Volvos as rentals. These were base models.
Power was notchy, and the electronics, navigation for example, weren’t as polished as BMWs implementation. I was swapping back and forth between a 2019 X7 at the time. The GUI was less intuitive in the Volvo and less functional. The interior also wasn’t as elegant as well.
I hated the lane control feature but I’m old fashioned. I think cars were functionally complete once we invented power steering.
I love the body shape though. I think they’re doing a much better job there - then either BMW or Daimler.
If I was buying a modern car I would certainly consider them.

He wins, wife drives a Volvo S90, not the SUV but the biggest car they make. The dealership told me the brake pads & rotors needed to be replaced @ 16,000 miles & that it wasn’t covered under warranty. I told them it’s a defect in workmanship & that if it’s not covered under warranty I would rent the sign out in front of the dealership saying:
I got Fu*ked at Volvo, you can too.
They fixed it.

I fricking HATE this feature in my '18 Accord Touring.

My Accord has this too, but I learned how to turn it off, thank God. Hate it as much or more than the ACC.

This used to be the case, but not so anymore.
