VMI , West Point, or the Citadel?

The other two are not anywhere in the same class as West Point.

I think VMI is considered a decent school, however.

I've heard the Citadel is basically a school for frickups to try to get straight.

You heard wrong. The Citadel is an outstanding school. It does offer few choices of Majors, but the academic quality is on par with both VMI and WP.

You can't go wrong with a degree from either three of the schools.

That said, I'd rank them WP, VMI and The Cid. Primarily because I think that is the order of demand each school places on the student both in and out of the class room.

Disclaimer: I'm not a graduate of either. But many of my Army-Brat brethren are and currently have children going to each. So my input is based on each of their biased opinions.

I understand the appeal of going to an academy like those mentioned, but he/she should consider ROTC.

With ROTC, you can attend a regular university like LSU without all the really dumb shite they do on a daily basis at the academies.

From my experience, there is no noticeable difference from ROTC, OCS, or WP officers.

The networking from attending West Point is amazing.
