Florida’s sport fishing community is outraged over video that shows a shark, tied to the back of the boat, being dragged at high speed.
The video was posted on a number of social media sites overnight and has thousands of views, drawing mostly negative backlash from the Florida sport fishing community.
WESH 2 News has also obtained a related photo, which we are not showing due to its extremely graphic nature. The photo shows what appears to be the same shark ripped to pieces and being held by two men whose faces are not shown in the photo.
In an email, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokesman Robert Klepper said, “The FWC has been alerted to a video circulating on multiple social media sites showing a group of individuals traveling at high speed on the water (while) dragging a shark behind the vessel.”
Klepper added, “The FWC takes this very seriously and is currently investigating this incident. We are also attempting to identify the individuals in the video and where it took place.”

So, it's okay for them to eat us, but we can't drag them to death behind a boat?

frick you and frick them. They need to be hooked up and dragged behind a boat like that.

Not need to get angry. Fish can't feel anything anyway.

Too bad nobody had a jet ski out there. They could have jumped the shark.

It's fricked up, but it's just a shark. Fine them or take away their fishing licenses for poor sportsmanship, but that's it.

I ain't saying it's right or anything, but fish get cleaned alive all the time. It's not like this is the worst thing ever done to a fish

To land large sharks it was once commonplace to shoot them with a revolver once they were alongside the boat. Once this was outlawed, it was common to loop the tail and drag them behind the boat- no water moving across the gills would kill them. Don't know how one brings a large shark aboard these days.

Don't care what type of animal it is. Sick mother frickers. If we're going to lock up some dude that has an ounce of green, toss these frickers in jail

Where's that little kid and his pussified dad who were screaming at the fishermen and throwing their fish back in the water at that park a couple weeks ago?

I bet Jim Mcelwain is outraged by this incident.
