According to the dash cam this all happened shortly after 8 AM. Good grief. Why are Madison people freaking out about somebody walking on the sidewalk in broad daylight at 8 am on a Friday.

I'm a Madison resident, and it's one of the most culturally diverse cities in the state. Lots of Asian immigrants of all sorts and people from all over the country that work out at the Arsenal or have retired here. I guess every town has its bigots though.
I will say this is the first I've heard of a Madison cop doing something like this. My experiences with them have been very positive to this point.

This is a total embarrassment from top to bottom. Guy calls in and says there is a "black" guy walking and looking in garages. So he can't tell a black guy from an Indian.
The "what was I thinking" country song blaring in the cop car right as the slam goes down seems appropriate I guess.
Could they not tell the main problem was a language barrier as opposed to a dastardly criminal trying to escape?
Even the press conference was an abortion with the wrong video being cued up like they hadn't done a practice run of something so important.
My next door neighbor is Indian. He's a great guy. His parents have come over from India to help with newborns just like this. Apparently it is some kind of tradition. So stupid of the cops.

I'm not sure what the liberal propaganda machine has to do with this. This is raw video footage from a police car. It appears pretty indefensible to me.

I'm not trying to stereotype the fine citizens of Madison, but it's a starter home neighborhood in a city with lots of brown people. That's a shitty start to a justifiable profiling argument.
