This is sad to think sometimes there isn't a great guy there to help out when something like this happens but it's a pretty cool video

Its a maned wolf. Technically they don't fit into any specific category of animals but they're sort of like a cross between a wild dog and a wolf with a coat that resembles a fox. They're beautiful animals.

According to the sign at the BR Zoo, the Maned Wolf is not actually a species of wolf.

Per Wikipedia:

The maned wolf is not closely related to any other living canid. It is not a fox, wolf, coyote, dog, or jackal, but a distinct canid. Although based only on morphological similarities, it previously had been placed in Canis and Vulpes genera.[3] Its closest living relative is the bush dog (genus Speothos) and it has a more distant relationship to other South American canines (the short-eared dog, the crab-eating fox, and the 'false foxes' or Pseudalopex).[23]

Cool video. I'd never seen a maned wolf and decided to get a better look. Found this interesting video:

That was great.

It's the exact opposite of a grown man crying like a pageant winner over a new bison Frisch puppy.

A maned wolf sure does stink. Worst of any animal there is.
