On Friday, prosecutors dropped second-degree battery charges that had been pending against him since March. That night he caught the pass for Holy Cross' football team that clinched a historic victory against Archbishop Rummel. And a few hours later, he turned 18.
Then things went off the rails. Out celebrating on Bourbon Street after midnight Sunday, Weidenbacher was jailed for allegedly knocking out a man who had used a racial epithet. The fight was captured on cellphone footage. “

That article is written like a high school girl writes a FaceBook post. But I think the guy charged had just finished pre-trial diversion for the same charge. If that is the case, the DA is going to go in without lube on him.
