How did people standing up against the union get us back in? We are getting back to work because we all members stood strong on the line and did not cross. Shell came to the table and finally talked. They pulled no retrogression and we toned the contractor lang . I was really talking to the guys that had no fight in this commenting on how we are stupid and we should lose everything.

I have been told at least two more weeks out for the people on strike. Is that what y'all are hearing?

I'm hearing we could be back in the plant week after next.

But I'm also hearing two weeks as well from some people. Either way, the end is in sight and now I can actually enjoy my time off..

I guess it is just resubmitting your info.

Seems like a pretty wasteful move by Shell to just delete the info instead of putting it on hold. Then again none of this surprises me.

How is the agreed offer any different than the 7th offer? The contractor language was there.

More like what is expected going forward in terms of conduct and housekeeping. The units are the cleanest I've seen them in almost 15 years.

Nothing was deleted. Everything was put on hold/turned off.

I hope you didn't use your real name.

And it goes to poor management if the workers are not doing what they are supposed to be doing as far as housekeeping. It sounds like Shell runs some pretty loose ships over there.

Ah, so taking it off hold is taking two weeks? That seems excessive, but I am not in that part of the business.

I personally know of guys getting grievances filed against them because they were "harassing" operators to clean the unit.

Again, sounds like shitty management if there was evidence of harassment to clean the units.

No. HR has to speak and have a meeting with everyone who comes back to work. Plus I don't think anything is signed anyways.

Our local HR has a history of handling union issues with kid gloves

Isnt USW real proud of how great their workers are and thats why they can strike and ask for guaranteed raises etc... Yet now the mnagement must be shitty cause they have to baby sit the workers to get them to perform basic duties such as housekeeping well.

Sounds like USW is full of entited employees who have zero sense of ownership over their units

Yep, no way there could be bullshite coming from the side of the company.

It is funny, the replacements sound like typical operators. Always patting themselves on the back by putting down other workers. Just do your job and let the results speak for themselves.
