I ordered three separate items on Amazon. I ordered item A on 6/17 first class because I wanted to guarantee its arrival by today. I didn't order B and C first class because I didn't care. Well, items B and C have arrived, and item A has not arrived.

This is the latest update FROM JUNE 19, 10 AM. It is now JUNE 24th with no update.

Pre-Shipment Info Sent to USPS

I just tried to call them, surprise surprise it sent me through 50 different voice commands before I could get to a real person. When they went to transfer me to a real person, it gave me an average 20 minute wait time.

What the heck? Is there anything I can do besides just accepting the fact that I paid extra money for no good reason?

If the USPS was a business, the doors would have been shut years ago. If you order often from Amazon, get Prime.

Your answer may lie in this riddle.

It takes longer to drive from Lafayette than from Seattle.

I initially felt pretty guilty after dropping $99 for Prime.

Best decision I've made in a long time. 2 Day shipping, on time every time.

I understand that other items may have arrived more quickly due to them coming from closer places. My issue is that I shelled out extra money for 1-3 day first class shipping, and it has been a full week since leaving the seller. The other part about items B and C was just more laughable and frustrating than an actual issue.

As for Prime, I know. I should get it. I just rarely order things online, and when I do, I expect them to get here when they specify it will get here.

Did the seller ship it 1st class? Also, it didn't get to USPS until 7/19, right now it only looks like it is a day late.

Also, first class is one of the slowest options the USPS offers. Unless your other packages came as Bulk/Smartpost you got the same service.

I guess I just don't know the ins and outs of online ordering. Silly me to think 1-3 days meant 7+ days lesson learned. My issue with it arriving tomorrow is that I'm going out of town tomorrow. It's not that big of a deal if I don't have this for the trip, but it would have been nice. It's just a matter of principle!

Oh, no doubt. Just saying that the fault seems to be with the seller and not USPS. I would be more pissed they held the package for 2 days before giving it to USPS.

I don't use USPS that often, but I thought they did not classify Sunday as part of 1-3 day window. Also, I think it can take something like 48 hours to update tracking info.

Good point about holding it for 2 days. Also I am live chatting amazon as suggested in this thread and he informed me it has not left Los Angeles, even though USPS website says it has. He is contacting the seller. Ugh!

Still better than fed ex.. Cost, time and reliability wise, usps is the best for regional deliveries.. UPS has done a good job of hiring and maintaining quality drivers where as I haven't encountered many non trashy fed ex people recently.. They simply don't give a shite. If I'm sending something outside my region, ups gets my business..and I average roughly 70 outgoing packages a week.

You know USPS First Class is basically the slowest possible shipping option?

Also, see if Amazon or the seller has the ability to get the package redirected. You could possibly get it sent to your vacation destination.

If they can't even get it to my destination I don't want to complicate things by redirecting. My question is, if it says that it departed USPS facility on 6/19, then why does Amazon man say it's still in LA? Did they scan it out but not send it? I feel like it's lost.

I've had this happen because it was scanned for departure but it hadn't left yet. SO it shows at it left but it is really still there until the next day.

If sender held it until payment cleared then that is the issue really.

disagree 100%... I have outstanding customer service with fedex as opposed to USPS

Those douche bags have completely lost 2 very important certified business letters within the last 3 weeks. USPS can eat a bag of penises.
