I got proof that says otherwise
typically, they're not
altho, i did see where pig pharma was gouging on a prescription version....forgot which one
what did you get covered, and did you compare it to health food store or smart drugs outlet?

You can get a peptide that is a precursor to it(converts to modafinil in the body) for dirt cheap.
Doc suggested Adrifinil when I was experiencing the side effects from the Provigil. Never tried it, but apparently its cheap, legal and no Rx required.

I have a prescription for xanax and ambien but those do everything but make me smarter.
never checked out modafinil, but aniracetam is a good cognition enhancer
checkout [ powder city ] for other options on nootropics/smart drugs
there's also a book on smart drugs and smart drugs II, by morgenthaler

No need to.
She is narcoleptic and the smart drugs are covered by insurance because of that. An extremely small amount of people are diagnosed with it.

I'm skeptical that a drug alterering brain chemistry would not have some long term side effect.

well, if it works on you, you notice
if it don't ,adjust dosage a time or two, then you try something different
start small, read other customers comments on different items, then decide.

I've seen my share, have sleeping issues. Prescription says take 1 1mg xanax during the day and 1 at night with the ambien. Sometimes Id take "as needed" though, which wasn't the best of ideas.

sorry clint
you were talking about insomnia
the 5htp works for most folks. sometimes adding it to st. johns wort may enhance effects for sleep
you may not need 200mg...perhaps only 50mg, or 100mg
I only take it as I need it, 100mg or 200mg depending on circumstances

Apparently you get legally buy Adrafinil online. That is how modafinil was discovered because Adrafinil produced modafinil when ingested in the body. They were able to isolate Modafinil later so the former became obsolete.

Wow, I'm learning all sorts of things in this thread.

I am assuming that the improvements are not kept if you quit taking it?
May have to take a look at the peptide, not big on taking meds though.

I think you guys should speak to your doctors. I know of several plant operators who asked for this drug by name and were prescribed. Tell them shift work makes you sleepy.
