I agree. It is a stupid idea to ever buy oil to fill the SPR.
Doing so could almost be seen as currying political favor with oil companies, don't you think?

The stupid idea was selling off the SPR in 2022, is what I think.

Do you think that about the 2023 sale as well?
You are really bad at answering questions. Especially since I was courteous enough to do it for you.

It has become painfully obvious that you would rather remain ignorant and just regurgitate rhetoric.

I kind of agree, but in the grand scheme of things, I don't think it really matters much.

How would you fill it?

Swaps
It is basically free crude. Think of it like interest.

1 - a good chunk of those months was coming from the SPR 1 - it's okay to send our oil and gas to other countries, just can't have it here (same NIMBY philosophy that closes off rare earth mining/extraction domestically, but is happy for other countries to to it to their own lands for our "green" benefit)
You have zero idea what you are talking about.

They're predicting peak oil hits slightly before 2030. There's an incline until like 2029 or something, then declines based on studies.
I don't think Democrats thought peak oil hit in 2020 or 2021. They all knew that it would increase, but were trying to convert to renewables to slow it down.
As a market share, Oil is decreasing. It was like 80% of energy demand and is now like 65% of energy demand. Basically, the pie is growing very fast bc population growth and energy demand per person growth. Oil's piece of the pie is growing because the pie is growing very fast, but it's growing at a much slower rate than renewables piece of the pie and oil's share (or %) of the pie is declining.

What point are you making? Doesn't seem to make sense as a response to what he said.

What part am I missing here?
That we are a net exporter of petroleum products, which I THINK is what the OP was about, but maybe he did mean solely crude oil as well.
If he did, then his is wrong. We have never been a net exporter of crude oil.

If we are exporting record oil products. Why are our fuel prices so high?
Because it’s significantly higher in Europe.
