This country is really going to go down the shitter when the brainwashed millenials take the keys from the dumbass baby boomers.

Get off my lawn.

1) Sounds like the University actually listened and responded to its public constituency. Isn't that what it should do?

2) They didn't actually remove the statue from campus. They just moved it to a museum (which seems a fitting place for a relic). Guess you folks are getting your panties in a twist over nothing.

Good. Davis, Lee and every Confederate general should have hanged for treason against the Constitution.

I find it funny that the people lobbing this criticism are the ones that have taken affirmative steps to get what they want (i.e., if anyone has actually gotten their panties in a twist, it's the ones that had to actively take steps to change the status quo). Oh well, enjoy your hypocrisy.

There's a MILLION more important issues than relocating a damn statue. If you don't like the statue then don't look at it.

Meh. I'm laughing at both sides in this cat fight. The pro side is pretty sad, but your side is the only one expressly acting hypocritical.

Well, their panties are twisted. So much so that they have to hold marches and lobby the government and institutions to take down flags and move statues.

Why?

If anything, Lincoln and the entire "union" should have been hanged for violently interfering with the South's peaceful exercise of its constitutional right to secede.

The UT students mobilized for action--that is, they are putting their money where their mouths are.

Meanwhile, the "get off my lawn" folks--many of whom have no stake in the outcome whatsoever--complain on the Internet.
