I did it. Couldn't get a MU! 78 reps tie break time was 4:50.

I got 112......gonna redo on Monday. I broke up the T2b and MU's too much in fear of gassing.

Hitting 17.2 on Monday. Shoulders and chest are dead from this last week.

I worked with orthopedic surgeons for about 5 years. I had an Ortho tell me once he was at a moral crossroads with CrossFit:

a.) tell people to stop doing that for the love of God you're eventually going to really hurt yourself

or

b.) say nothing and guarentee a stream of business when the injuries inevitably happen

(He specializes mostly in rotator cuff repairs, labral repairs of shoulder and ACL repairs)

Prior to 8:00, complete:
3 rounds of:
6 chest-to-bar pull-ups
6 squat snatches, 95 lb.
Then, 3 rounds of:
7 chest-to-bar pull-ups
5 squat snatches, 135 lb.
*Prior to 12:00, complete 3 rounds of:
8 chest-to-bar pull-ups
4 squat snatches, 185 lb.
*Prior to 16:00, complete 3 rounds of:
9 chest-to-bar pull-ups
3 squat snatches, 225 lb.
*Prior to 20:00, complete 3 rounds of:
10 chest-to-bar pull-ups
2 squat snatches, 245 lb.
Prior to 24:00, complete 3 rounds of:
11 chest-to-bar pull-ups
1 squat snatch 265 lb.

*If all reps are completed, time cap extends by 4 minutes.

17.3 looks fun.

I'll be somewhere in the 135lb round at 8 minutes. May or may not get to 185.

I blew thru the first weight but struggled on the catch on several 135 squat snatches and was capped at 8.

Redo on Sunday.

I got 92 reps

Completed 135.....got a round of 8 C2B....4@ 185 and 8 more C2B

Not a great score but not terrible

We had a guy get to the last two reps at 245 but he only had 15 seconds after the pull-ups to the 20 min cap and he couldn't get them.

Dude weighs about 170.

Did a niner on the 18.4 waxcom squat jet with 00:00:34 to spare. Was intense. My box rocked even though our gas was collectively juiced. Oh snap DST! Time for church! JK I'm an Atheist. Gonna go eat carrots instead.

Just redid it and got 80 reps, so I got to the 185 snatch which would have been a PR but not getting it today! Glad 17.3 is over

I did it again today and added 11 reps.

Gonna try it for the 3x tomorrow at 6 and get thru the 135 and the 8 pull-ups in the 185 round.

ETA: Added 4 more reps but still didn't get out of 135. My lack of metcon training recently held me back. I was tired as frick going into the last round of 7 pull-ups.

Update:

17.2 - I got my first Bar Muscle up that night and ended up with 4 reps for a score of 82.

17.3 - I set a Personal Record on a proper squat snatch at 95 lbs and I managed to get through all 3 rounds. I got 1 CTB in before my time elapsed so my score was 37. I thought about doing it a 2nd time to at least get the 7 CTB and score of 43 but I didn't.

The 17.3 workout was pretty tough for a lot of folks at our gym. We haven't worked on squat snatches very much since I started back in October.
