They're willing to fight the traffic across that bridge, but Livingston Parish is right the frick out.

Interesting.

biggest problem I had with uber was that the X drivers didn't know where shite was without GPS... I mean, I got in and I was like, "I need to go to Union station" and he was like, "Do you know the address?"

I won't use ÜberX except when I know exactly where I am going and whats the quickest way there.

My main use of ÜberX is to and from the airport

You mean pick up in Port Allen but not pick up in Denham? I'd imagine an Uber driver wouldn't mind dropping off in Denham

Never went through with it completely. Haven't had time. Might still do it when things slow down.

Used uber for the first time over the weekend. Great experience. I know everyone was interested.

I really dont see driving anywhere anymore even if i plan on having just a couple of drinks (unless i have a DD). It's a game changer.

As some may know, I have been driving for Uber, and it has been well received by all of the passengers I have picked up (Shameless plug, code IDOTY gets you $20 free, if you have never used it).

On Wednesday, they are going to start surge pricing in our area. This should really help to bring the drivers out and keep them out. Supply and demand will run the market.

Keep on Ubering, I'm tired of hearing stories of people I know getting DWIs.

What is that?

I have the app installed for when I'm in BR. Haven't used it yet, but plan on it.

if demand is higher than supply, then the price will be more expensive

Adams Morgan at 1am in DC, everyone and their mom wants an uber so it's like 2.5X the normal cost

So the narrative that it would only be for special events wasn't true.

there may be different tiers of surge

I've seen it at 1.5X and 2.5X and 3.5X the cost. If demand is super crazy, it may be more

It won't just be for special events. Whenever it is real busy it may be 2-3times(2X-3X) the normal fare. The only time this happened to me was in NYC this past December when we tried to hail a cab on a cold, rainy, slushy night and could not get a cab for like 30min. Every cab was full that passed by. I would have done Uber 1st but a guy in our group didn't want to. Well after a while I said f it and uber was 3X the cost but at that point we didn't care. Uber was there in 2min.
