re: Tundra or F-150

I was all ready to come post about my 2011 Tundra and my 102K miles, but I just threw a bunch of codes, and drove back from the camp in "limp home mode"

Turns out Toyota has an air induction pump, two actually, that blows positive air into the intake to aid with the "dirtier" emissions on cold starts. These pumps look and operate exactly like those 12v pumps used to blow up air mattresses, and we all know how shitty those are.
Well, these units are so bad, Toyota extended the warranty on that part for 10yrs/150K miles in 2005-2010 models. Mine is a 2011, and they won't cover it, even though it is the same part, no changes or improvements have been made.
So, now that I have had my first mechanical failure on my truck, frick Toyota.
BTW, the repair is $2500
I will be purchasing the AIP bypass harness on eBay for $179.
