TSA asking people to adopt dogs who flunked training

Would adopt
sounds like a good idea. They are trained as detection dogs, not attack dogs, so they wouldnt be as aggressive as a retired police dog, right?

I can't imagine how stupid a dog would have to be to not pass a TSA test.

Not all dogs have the temperament to be explosive and drug detection dogs.
Doesn't mean they're stupid.

Not all of the dogs flunked training, some are now retired.
I think most of them are labs. Sounds like a great way to get an awesome dog for free imo.

I've seen the humans they accept. I don't want a dog that can't live up to those lofty standards.

My GSD has a damn terrible nose compared to most others of the same breed, but he makes up for it in many other ways.

This could be one of those sting operations where they arrest everyone who shows up to get a drug dog.

I wouldn't adopt one of these dogs, not when there are so many homeless pits that people just throw away like trash. Go to your local shelter and adopt a pit! The ones who have been used for fighting are often the sweetest.
