Mine cost $50.

Almost every dealership offers a brand new truck with a lift or leveling kit nowdays. So i dont think they affect much

Don't put the truck on a pedestal.

It's a tool. Keep the maintenance schedule. Fuel it. Drive it.

You should post this on the Outdoor Board, I think there are a bunch of them that have leveling kits.

I have an F-150 will a factory installed leveling kit, it looks great, rides fine, and still have the same shocks.

Now is it worth it? Absolutely not. But if thats what you want than go get it. In my experience that leveling kit has not in one way affected my truck. My truck is 6 yrs old now.

How much do they cost now a days?

Leveling a truck is not being a kid. Most new 4x4's come this way nowadays and a lot even come with a complete lift and bigger tires and wheels pkg. Now if dreaux came on here asking about an 8-12in lift with 40in tires and such that would be being a stupid kid

Dealerships put the lift kits and bigger tires on trucks to appeal to people who base their life off of the look of their truck. It does not mean its just as good for the vehicle as stock. They just know that it will get certain people on their lot to look at that bad arse jacked up truck on their lot. They are not engineers.

When I bought my previous truck, the salesman couldn't get it through his head that I didn't want aftermarket rims and big tires. He kept telling me that it was a good price and id have to pay a lot more to do all that myself. I kept asking him if he could get it all taken off. To each his own, but I think that stuff gets a little ridiculous.

My biggest question for leveling kits its why? I know the answer, but the truck was designed with a rake. It helps tremendously with front visibility.

Trucks looks stupid with a rake. Its not a 60's muscle car. For a avid outdoorsman that actually take their truck off road. It adds a couple inches of ground clearance in the front.

Lift kits are bad.

Never had a bad experience with any of my lifted trucks. The only problems I've seen with lifted trucks, are the people that save a whole year to put one on their truck or SUV then can't afford to maintain it.

I think they look good but I'm not gonna do it. Seems like a kiddie thing to do to your truck.

It's rare to see an F150 without one.....seems popular with the under 20 crowd.

I wouldn't worry about it unless you actually plan on keeping your vehicle more than 5-6 years.

higher clearance and the ability to fit bigger than stock tires. IMHO, if you're paying that kind of money for a 4x4, you want it to look somewhat like a truck, not a street car. Leveling kit and a little bit bigger tire accomplishes that without looking douchy like w a 6 inch lift kit.

Had one on my f150....no problems what so ever.

Nothing douchy about a 6" lift. Especially if you actually wheel the rig.

Have had this leveling kit on my truck since 2010. No problems at all. I was able to fit larger, more aggressive looking tires (but not big enough to be douchy.) I also enjoy the symmetry of a leveled truck.. Cant stand when it sits to high in the back or squats when the front end is too high.

I have one on my F-150, looks much better with the leveling kit. I have no problems with it and it still rides the same. Everyone I know with the F-150 has one and no one has ever had any problems.

It's "kiddie" to make your truck look a little better?
