I'm 51, so born in 1965. Before I was born half the population was discriminated against by LAW. The people in charge were so exclusionary that people who moved here were isolated from society. Allowing cities like Houston, Atlanta, Charlotte and Nashville to pass New Orleans as the cities of the South.

New Orleans is better than I can remember with a ton of development and young people moving here from all over. Also the crime right now makes the late 80s to mid 90s look tame.

This is why Shreveport/Bossier is the best part of the state. fricking shitholes in south Louisiana are ruining the respectable image that North LA has built for itself.

Saltwater access is the only redeeming quality of South Louisiana.

Yeah poor kid has no clue how much better off Nola is now than it used to be. Granted it still has a ton of problems(crime, infrastructure, etc) and corruption will probably never go away but it's nothing like it used to be.

I didn't say immediately before you were born. Yeah, you're an idiot.

It is an old, gritty port city and will always attract certain elements. The corruption is so bad and that and crime are the major negatives. Roads are always going to suck because of geology.

Can anyone find a stat of people killed in each city who reported an income greater than 50k/year

Any other parimeters for murder stats that could show the number of non criminals killed in each city every year?

It is such a rarity that it doesn't even register in terms of percentages.

Why, because I called you an idiot? I was quoting what you said to me. DUH.

btw, New Orleans' population in 1960 was 627,525. In 2000 it was 484,674. Who forced all those people to move out?

I'm just trying to make a comparison of cities to see which one is more dangerous for a normal person (non cop or criminal).

Themselves and not wanting their white kids to go to school with black kids. So the answer is racism.

My guess would be the other race. But I can't say for sure because I moved here in 2001.

Can you answer the other questions I've asked you in this thread?
