I'll be traveling to Plano at the beginning of August for work. Will have time to burn on Sunday afternoon, and I'm looking for some things to do and places to eat.

Umm. I have family there. Great place to live, but there's not really things to do besides small things like movies, Dave and busters.

You can go to Dallas for the grassy knoll

Don't limit yourself to Plano.

There are plenty of great restaurants. If you like BBQ, Hutchins, Lockhart, or Pecan Lodge.

Like someone else said, there's Top Golf.

Go skydiving indoors at iFly. Expensive but a blast.

6 Flags and Hawaiian Falls are two good water parks.

I'm not sure exactly which date you'll be in town but you can go see the Frisco Rough Riders or the Rangers if they are in town.

Cabela's, Bass Pro, IKEA, Nebraska Furniture Mart...all give unique shopping experiences.

Addison airport has a flight museum.

Brewery tours at one of the local breweries...

To be honest, the busiest place on the weekend in Plano 2015 is the library.

They got some grade A hoes at third base. It's a sports bar in a neighboring town. They also have really good restaurants in the plaza area right off the interstate. I find Plano and the area to be a not so bad visit.

Will you be in East Plano or West? (Closer to the Dallas N. Tollway or 75/central)

East.... Urban Crust and Filmore Pub. If you're a bit further north on the east side Watters Creek isn't that far away. Blue Fish and Cru are there among others.

West... Patrizio's at Park & Preston, Mi Cocina Lakeside off Preston. DNT and Legacy is the shops at legacy. A lot of good places there. Parking shouldn't be as bad on a Sunday. Go further north on Preston and once you get into Frisco there are even more options. I like Mashed. All of these places are easy to get to.

Let me know what specific area and I can narrow down some good places for you. Plano is pretty spread out.
