The PGA Superstore is in Southeast Plano. Pretty badass store if you're into golf. All kinds of setups to practice swing, putting, etc. Even has an indoor tennis court.
The dart rail has a stop in Plano at Parker. You could take it to downtown Dallas, Deep Ellum, Uptown etc.
Grassy Knoll, 6th Floor Museum if you're into Kennedy thing.
George W Bush library is more like a museum and really well done. It's on SMU's campus.
The DMA is always free and a top notch art museum.
Klyde Warren Park
Frontiers of Flight Museum by Lovefield
Top Golf(3 locations- Dallas, Allen, The Colony)
Brewery Tours(Deep Ellum, Lakewood, Four Corners, Four Bullets etc)
Check out FC Dallas(professional soccer team), TX Rangers, or Frisco Roughriders schedules and catch a game.
Dallas really isn't a tourist destination, but there's some stuff to do. It'll be hot as balls though.

I lived there back in the early 90's. I enjoyed the Souper Salad. I could pick up chics there, but u must have serious game to pick them up at a salad bar.

I'll be traveling to Plano at the beginning of August for work. Will have time to burn on Sunday afternoon, and I'm looking for some things to do and places to eat.
Go
Plano/Mckinney is for pool riots and cops tripping over stumps chasing black folks.
I recommend Uptown Dallas, Fort Worth, and Arlington.
Del Friscos for a nice 5 star/double eagle steakhouse for a meal.
The Clubhouse for T & A.
Stockyards in Fort Worth.
Oak cliff in Dallas if you want to get robbed.
Any massage parlor if you're into a brothel.
Horne St. in Fort Worth if you wanna see gun fights.
Joe T. Garcias in Forth Worth for world renowned margaritas. I personally recommend to go there Sunday.
Six Flags if you enjoy roller coasters that derail.

It's a dry heat. Unlike the horrible humidity in Baton Rouge.

High school football or go to the mall. And it ain't football season so you have only one option.
