How in the hell did he stay quiet through that? If that was video from my truck you would have heard "Holy frick!" and probably "that was awesome".

Talk about timing. I don't know why he was even stopped like that. Crazy.

They're lucky it didn't fall on a steel pier. Those cars easily weigh 60+ kips, assuming they are unloaded... Loaded like 280+. A lot of bridges aren't meant to handle that sort of lateral load.

Not to rehash stuff, but the fact that you as a structural engineer use a unit of force to describe a mass is kind of scary

the transformer exploding added a nice touch at the end.

That dash footage is insane, considering the weight that the wind pushed off those tracks. Wow.

Big trucks get blown off the road pretty often in the wind, especially when empty

Add the elevation of that bridge and the wind is only more powerful. Still impressive though

I'm not sure, but wouldn't even unloaded rail cars weigh more than semi trucks? Seems like you're dealing with a lot more steel.

Unless you work in SI units (kg) most items are described in force units... The imperial unit for mass is a slug- which is never used in the real world.

They catch a lot more wind too, and like I mentioned, they were higher where the wind velocity is faster. Being nearer to the ground really slows down the wind.

Love how the properly placed Canes sign lights right back up after all the dust settles. Great commercial
