Actually put in my vacation request earlier tonight for that week just so I can travel to see it.

Just tell the OT you're going to do hookers and blow during the eclipse and you're golden!

Seeing this from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park would be the bee's knees!

August 21st

Only this could eclipse, pun intended, the height of the Tennessee preseason national championship buzz.

I'm doing the same thing. Have to plan ahead in case a summer thunderstorm pops up.

Paducah, KY would be a good "base of operations" because the eclipse will be at its greatest in that area.

South Carolina will have some very accessible areas to view as well since the path is going just by the Greenville area and the Columbia area.

My plans are set for that already. A family friend has a farm in Missouri that is directly in the path. Odds are about 2/3 for clear skies.

April 8, 2024 will be another good one. Texas to Maine.
The two eclipses are overlaid below. There is one lucky spot in southern Illinois that is in the center of both eclipses.

I anxiously await the Facebook posts predicting the anti-Christ's arrival in Vienna, Illinois in 2024.
