Today's threat was highly conditional based on what happened overnight and this morning but here we are

Possibly. Unfortunately, it looks like cells could at least be semi discrete when moving through the area. A line of storms would give more people rain and decrease the chances of strong rotating updrafts that could produce large hail or tornadoes.

Hopefully, the cap holds and storms fizzle into DFW... I don't want another year with hail damage

Good grief! That is a monster hail core about to start moving through more densely populated areas.

That needs to stay north of Frisco. My contractor is coming out tomorrow to plan new roof, window replacement, fence repair, painting, etc to be done after last hail storm.
