After reading this thread, I've really started respecting Trina more than I did. Hell, she's very much content in her own skin and actually kind of funny. At least she doesn't pretend or take herself or her chosen situation too seriously.

I have gained supadave3's respect. Well at least more of it then I had. So now I too can finally rest. Good night, supadave!

Perfect example. How can you not respect a well timed and executed smart arse comment! Good night, mrsewe

No. I believe he probably likes it. And JBE likes to joke that every time someone says "Governor Edwards" he turns and looks for Edwin. So I imagine when there is any confusion it's the other way around.

Here's the thing about balls...A girl can drive over to the mall, walk into Dick's, head a few isles back on the left side of the store and everywhere she looks she can find lots of new, young baseballs. They're all right there and so easy. New and smooth...packaged all pretty. She can grab any one of those balls and for a couple of dollars take it home with her. She can take her pick. In fact, she can take several. As many as she wants really. They're like $2. They're literally available by the bucket. They got white ones, yellow ones, small ones, big ones, soft ones, hard ones. A variety, but basically they're all the same. Just a basic ball. After she picks out which want she wants and gets home with it, what does she have? She has a basic ball. After she unwraps it and hits it around a couple of times, what is she supposed to do with it then? It's worthless. Might as well throw it away. She can always get another just like it so no big deal. But if she has an old baseball, one that's been signed by Hank Aaron or Babe Ruth! That's valuable. It means something. It's irreplaceable. It's not just some toy she picked up from a sporting goods store. It's something to be cherished. That's the problem with some people. They don't recognize what's truly valuable. All these basic Rawlings out there thinking they're brand new and that's supposed to make them special when they're all over the place. It's not the equipment that's important. It's about the autograph. I'm like a mitt signed by Yogi Berra...you don't use that to play catch with a basic Rawling because a basic Rawling doesn't really understand the value of the autograph.

Yep.

JBE is definitely the political twin of Edwin Edwards, just more progressive. Too bad for him that Louisiana isn't the same dixiecrat state that Edwin ruled over like it was his own personal fiefdom.

You think JBE is more progressive than Edwin was?

No, but Edwards did charge $250 to get into his.

Well...he's got a wife that is expecting a certain level of lifestyle here. Gotta keep that funded somehow.

So you prefer the type of balls that you hide away in a trophy case, but you never use. Maybe pull them out when you have guests over
