If only unsafe dogs only attacked their owners...
If that was the case, I wouldn't care what kind of dog my neighbor had

So what's your solution? Do you confront said owner?
Posted on 7/30/15 at 3:52 pm to TexasTiger08
Not really, since it's lawful for him to own that dog
Now I would make sure my kids knew the dangers and would take extra caution when they played outside
I also wouldn't be afraid to defend myself if the dog showed even the slightest bit of aggression toward me

That's another issue. I realize pits have a strong jaw hold, but I don't think that I, or any other adult male, could or should allow that dog to drag me around.

Charleston sure has been in the news a lot in the last few months

What kind of pit can rip an arm off and drag a grown woman around three houses??
Posted on 7/30/15 at 3:57 pm to TexasTiger08
Yeah, I don't think a normal sized dog could drag me around either, but without some sort of blunt object, I don't know how you would escape the jaw grip of one that really didnt want to let go

So what's your solution?

That's not the first time a bama fan has resorted to that as a solution. And the first time was also a bit of an overreaction.

Pits have a bad reputation, but I'm interested to see some stats on the lifestyles these owners live.
So what is your point? That only shitty people own pit bulls? And that leads to them killing and maiming more people than other dogs combined (by a long shot)?
Do all other types of dogs have only caring loving owners who have white picket fences and feed them that expensive dog food with the real chicken and carrots and corn chunks you can see?
Lots of different people own lots of different types of dogs. One dog is statistically guaranteed to be more dangerous. It's not rocket science. It's simple fact.

I would pay $1000 for ringside seats to watch that happen to Michael Vick live.

Pit bulls are associated with people trying to be badasses on this board.
So...maybe I am saying that certain types of people are known for owning this kind of dog.
You present some stats...and we know that stats can be made to say pretty much anything you could want them to.
I'm not a huge advocate of pit bulls, just saying they aren't these monsters some of you suggest. Sorry I disagree...?

Mr. Tough Guy. Sounds like you'd make a good cop of the dog killing variety.
Gump brags about poisoning trees.
Gump brags about poisoning a dog. I see some parallels here.

Whatever trash. I will not tolerate pits around my house. Done sent a few to hell
Posted on 7/30/15 at 8:20 pm to GCTIDER
You do it with yer big gun? You put em in dat there stew with mama's special seasoning too?
Posted on 7/30/15 at 8:24 pm to TexasTiger08
Act stupid all you want trash. A pit around my place dies. And no, I don't use a big gun. A 22 through the lungs does the trick. They run off and die that way.

No sense arguing with an e-badass whose favorite word is trash. I have a feeling you just wouldn't back it up. But I guess since you are admitting to having committed a crime...you are sorta like Mike Vick now.

Every time I hear "roll tide" or see someone wearing that ugly arse A, I pull out my pocket blow dart filled with a permanent birth control serum, and pop them right in the back of the neck.
