It is strange how you can get a non-smoker discount but there’s not a fit/thin person discount.

Those with a BMI 35+ should have to pay a bit more, like smokers do. The morbidly obese smokers are often on Medicaid though.

Medicaid does not seem to have a problem paying out thousands a month for the insulin and inhalers a super fat smoker may require.

Keeping a healthy person alive into old age is $$

Just a controller inhaler and a box of insulin pens costs at least $1000 a month out of pocket. An overweight, diabetic smoker costs insurers hundreds of thousands of dollars over a lifetime.

I think you should run for office. We need more people like you in places of power. Someone who is by all accounts perfect, and a specimen of healthiness. Hail Caesar!

I am flattered that you resurrected this post from many moons ago. I guess nature was tired of fatties too.

Also nice post count. Is this TigerRee’s new alter?

My work's insurance is cheaper if you pass the yearly checkup or show that you improved from the previous year.

They also give out gift cards for tracking your workouts, etc.

ive seen and heard some ads for healthcare discounts if you can run a certain distance or some such. I have no idea how legit they are but the barrier for penalizing fats with higher insurance rates has been broken.

My work has something like this. We’re enrolled in something through Blue Cross of Texas and if we participate, we get money added to our HFA to use on premiums or doctor visits. It’s nice too, $10 for downloading the app, $25 for getting enough sleep certain amount for 5 days in a row, and more for things like walking a certain amount. Discounts on Fitbit devices too.

Not bad, free money for shite I already did.

I am a tolerant man, but every day that passes, I become more disgusted with the fat epidemic. They are a burden to society with health care costs and handicap privileges, not to mention an eyesore.

Though I agree with your premise, I must admit having this many fatties grazing the land and squealing from their motorized chairs has been one of the primary reasons I feel like a unicorn. When my wife and I go out for dinner it’s like we’re Brad Pitt and whatever hottie he’s banging now. If it wasn’t for bad decisions among the porky NPCs, my self esteem would be so much lower.

But we should still go along with these ideas. Keep me posted.

I know right. They dress like they have been working out or going to the gym but in reality have never seen the inside of one.

I think this is a serious topic. How much government intrusion are you willing to allow for a skinny society?

What about a polite society?

A society where everyone has great credit?

What happened to free will?

The NYC mayor got lampooned on this site for getting rid of extra large sodas.
