Her ex-husband's name is Muhammed, and he ran that store in the 2000's. I graduated in 08, but lived in Tiger Plaza from 04-06, right next to the gate.
I struck up a friendship with him, and had him over to party a couple of times. My friends and I would chill in his store after we closed Tigerland and smoke with him. He sold me my first hookah.
Anyway, he was sending money back to Palestine and would tell us stories of his upbringing and what his family was going through. HATED ISRAEL.
Sucks to see Tigerland going through this, but it has been on the steady decline for nearly a decade. Got dark right after Katrina.

whew. i thought we were talking about Raj for a second

Raj is fine where he is across Nicholson. If you want to stir up trouble in tiger land, why would you walk past akasha, circle k and all the bars, which are great places to cause mayhem, and go across the street to Raj?

Mid city too.
The influx of too many new apts is moving the hood more into south br.

Whatever happened to them locking the store and selling shite out of the window at Akasha? Guess they don't do that anymore

All of the bars and apartments around Tigerland needs to be bulldozed down. A group of investors need to come in and buy the land and start fresh. New bars, restaurants, apartments, etc... Something nice and updated. Too many old, run down, ghetto areas surrounding LSU campus. It's honestly embarrassing seeing how shitty Tigerland looks.

I said it in another thread, but I sold my Sharlo condo about 3 years ago to a nice bet school student.
When did Black Entertainment Television become a school?

Change it to Gazaland. Repopulate.

The apartments between Bogies and Rotolos should all be bulldozed and then let Fred's, Reggie's and JL's build right there.

Dude, I was about to drive from Nashville and round up a crew of carry perm it guys to stand outside of Raj's place like a recruitment center. Agreed, please edit to add "not Raj" in the subject line.
Now I just want a cajun turkey, some Zapps, and an Abita root beer.

Really a shame. Hopefully some of those problematic apartment complexes can get bulldozed soon.

Its cute that they call the tigerland bars "taverns." Find another adjective Advocate.

Section 8 strikes again. And the politicians don't notice/care.
